Missing default template option

Hello!

I'm missing the default template dropdown menu for both the forum and topics pages. I noticed it was available here in this documentation but wasn't available for me:

Is it suppose to come with this plugin? How do I change my template? I'd like to use another page template for my forum and topic pages, because I don't want to use the same sidebar that i'm using for the rest of the site, and I tried to remove it with widget logic, etc, but was not successful. 

I also tried following the instructions on this page, but it doesn't seem to matter if I can't select a template.
