Members being alerted of new topics – but not Members who are Admins too

Hi - we have a small members only group and have Ultimate Member integrated with this.  We have just launched the forum, and all members received the notification email of the new topic... except for members who are also admins.
I have checked and they have subscribed to the forum.  Where might a setting have been missed that excludes them?
