Forums not visible to logged in users – only admin

Good day. We require some urgent assistance please. We have Forum WP Pro installed with Ultimate Members plugin. We have set the forums to Private as we only want logged in users to be able to access it. However we've discovered that only admin users can see the forum. When participants login the forums are not visible. It says "No Forums have been created". (see pic attached)

If we change the visibility of the forum to "Public" then the forums are visible but anyone can see them. We only want logged-in users to be able to access the forum as it is part of a subscription package which is why we have it set to "Private". We cannot give users admin privileges for security reasons so this needs to work for logged in users who are participants. Please can you assist urgently.
